LEARNSCAPE is not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Is your child getting the support they need? Are they being adequately challenged or feeling overwhelmed? Are they able to attend school?
Children require support that meets their unique needs; ensuring they receive the right support at the right time is fundamental to fostering their development and well-being (GIRFEC, 2015).
As a former deputy head teacher and respected private tutor in Falkirk, I offer a nurturing, practical approach that empowers children to build resilience, confidence, and a love for learning. With a background in psychology and over a decade of experience, I left mainstream education to create a program specifically tailored to each child’s unique needs, and therefore, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
My in-depth approach encourages ongoing development at a pace that suits your child, ensuring they build their knowledge, skills and confidence. Learning can be fun and can even bring a smile to their face – which, at the end of the day, is what truly matters.
After my initial discussion and assessments to help build a picture of your child’s learning journey, I create a Bespoke Learning Plan based on the data and observations. Structured lessons are then provided to address any learning gaps, misconceptions or progress their learning. Progress is consistently monitored to inform next steps, and valuable feedback is provided throughout the process.
Understanding the importance of balancing academic rigor with a supportive environment, my caring approach and friendly nature help create a strong rapport, offering reassurance for your child that significantly boosts their learning and confidence.

Step one: Discovery
LEARNSCAPE PROGRAMME
ASSESSMENT:
(usually 4-6 weeks depending on curricular areas)
- Initial Consultation and Child/Coach Introduction.
- Identify suitable diagnostic assessments.
- Plan & Prepare Assessments (including any required resources).
- One-to-one engagement sessions (usually 45 mins, usually one session per week).
- Weekly homework suggested tasks and activities, including required resources and directions.
- Meeting to report on your child’s strengths and areas of development based on assessment information and observations. This forms the basis for Learnscape Foundation Programme (See Step Two).
Includes all planning, case research, resource provision, travel and reasonable expenses.
Additional weekly engagement sessions can be arranged at an additional cost.

Step Two: Implementation
LEARNSCAPE Programme
FOUNDATION: six-week block
- Initial assessments and observations are tracked and mapped against the appropriate Curriculum of Excellence (CFE) Benchmarks (early, first, second level).
- A Bespoke Learning Plan (BLP) created with clear learning outcomes.
- Consultation offered, at any time, to allow for discussion, feedback, modifications and/or amendments to the programme.
- Plan & prepare weekly personalised lessons based on BLP; reinforcing and consolidating knowledge, developing understanding, and building your child’s confidence and providing them with the tools and resources for success.
- Maximum of six one-to-one engagement sessions (usually 45 mins, usually one session per week).
- Regular progress update.
- Weekly homework suggestions with carefully designed/selected tasks and activities, including required resources and directions.
- Continuous monitoring and regular assessment built into the programme, where appropriate, to ensure progress and understanding.
- Tracking documents updated when appropriate.
Cost includes all planning, case research, resource provision, travel and reasonable expenses.
Additional weekly engagement sessions can be arranged at an additional cost.

GOLD STAR: six-week block
- Initial assessments and observations are tracked and mapped against the appropriate Curriculum of Excellence (CFE) Benchmarks (early, first, second level).
- A Bespoke Learning Plan (BLP) created with clear learning outcomes.
- Consultation offered, at any time, to allow for discussion, feedback, modifications and/or amendments to the programme.
- Plan & prepare weekly personalised lessons based on BLP; reinforcing and consolidating knowledge, developing understanding, and building your child’s confidence and providing them with the tools and resources for success.
- Maximum of six one-to-one engagement sessions (usually 60 mins, usually one session per week).
- Regular progress update.
- Weekly homework suggestions with carefully designed/selected tasks and activities, including required resources and directions.
- Continuous monitoring and regular assessment built into the programme, where appropriate, to ensure progress and understanding.
- Tracking documents updated when appropriate.
Cost includes all planning, case research, resource provision, recognition stickers, travel and reasonable expenses.
Additional weekly engagement sessions can be arranged at an additional cost.
